VIDEO CALLING IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR EVERYONE WITH WHATSAPP
WhatsApp takes quite some time developing your new function for video calls. Since the end of October users of the beta version of the application have been able to test and use this new feature and mid November is finally released for other users. The activation will be gradual in the coming days as advertised on the official blog of the application and will be available for all mobile platforms that still supports the application (Android, iOS and Windows Phone).
With these words WhatsApp, application of most popular messaging in the world, announced on Tuesday his new role, through a statement on his blog.
“In the coming days, more than one billion users of WhatsApp can perform video calling between Android, iPhone and Windows Phone devices,” they said.
The service will be free and will use the connection to the Internet from your mobile phone (or wifi networks) “rather than the minutes of your voice plan,” so as to avoid excessive fees for calls, explained from the company.
However, the company said that there “may be additional charges for the use of the data service”.
Its use is very simple: we just select the icon call voice or video that will be shown in the upper right corner of the screen of the cell phone.
Through this conversation window, activate or deactivate video or voice functions, or will end the video call.
We will be able to use the main camera of the phone or frontal, alternating depending on the image you want to show to the interlocutor.
Interface allows to turn the screen if you want to see the picture in a horizontal position and even minimize it to be able to continue responding to messages on our phone. In addition, we will silence VT. If we so wish.
To take advantage of this feature, we need to have the latest installed version of the application that you can download directly from the official website of WhatsApp or Google Play
